My grandmother researched for many years and then wrote a book about the history of her village. She was 81 years old. When the computer broke down and every single document disappeared, she wrote it again.
I had the privilege that my grandmother involved me in her work. We had long, heated discussions about the content. Then we cooperated in the everlasting editing process. And then finally I illustrated the book with my collages containing archival and family pictures, fotographs of the village, a lot of bulgarian lace and grapes.
