Me

Bulgarian multdisciplinary artist born and raised in Sofia and currently based in Hamburg; interested in discourses around the female body, infertlity and representations of the body. And sometimes in completely different stuff.

 

Thematic spectrum

It expanded to the sexualization and objectification of the „Slavic“ female body, with the aim of demystifying and playing with the construction and mythologization of the so called „Eastern“ and „nationalonal“ narratives. A bit of witchcraft is also always useful.

 

Search

For expression in various media – drawing, painting, video, photography and text, a lot of self stageing, depending on the weather and my personal circumstances. Would love to include more performance in my work as a more direct act of embodiment and connection with myself and the viewer.

 

Love

Meaningful conversations, coffee with friends, good sleep, music, ture crime and trying to practice solidarity and communality.

I also work as a graphic- and web designer as well as content creator for small businesses, a recovering photo book magician and self proclaimed food- and plant porn master but in reality more of a detail lover.

I also have more than fifteen years of experience as a translator and intercultural mediator for migrants and vulnerable groups such as sex workers, trafficked persons and patients. Currently translating for the University Hospital in Hamburg Eppendorf.

Totally fluent in Bulgarian, German and Russian & decent in English.

Love to think and reflect with others about artistic concepts, content and design. Experience in organisational and support stuff recently for film.
